Dysport

Dysport (abobotulinumtoxin A) is an FDA-approved injection for wrinkle treatment. This noninvasive procedure temporarily decreases muscle movement in the target areas to soften the appearance of glabellar lines, the vertical wrinkles most prominent on your forehead in between your eyebrows.

So how is Dysport different than Botox?

DYSPORT vs. BOTOX

The two treatments are incredibly similar: both rely on a type of botulinum type A to work, both last the same amount of time, and both erase pesky wrinkles. There are a few key differences, however. One is that Dysport and Botox are measured differently, so a forehead that needs 50 units of Dysport might only need 25 units of Botox. Dysport also has a tendency to spread, making it easier to tackle larger surface areas (like the forehead) with less. And unlike Botox, Dysport shows results faster rather than waiting 5-7 days; clients should see results within 2-3 days.

Procedure Price Per Unit Units Needed
BOTOX $11 Approx 20-25 units per area treated
Dysport $4.50 Approx 40-50 units per area treated
